Project Manager (Banking)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee projects of varying scales, effectively prioritizing, planning, and executing diverse change initiatives.
• Identify potential project risks and proactively address issues as they arise.
• Create comprehensive project timelines and establish key milestones.
• Maintain thorough documentation on project progress, budget expenditures, and other governance-related reports.
• Ensure compliance with the bank's global Change policies and procedural requirements across all projects.
• Facilitate the organization of working groups and steering committees as necessary.
• Oversee user acceptance testing in accordance with the established testing strategy.
• Conduct post-implementation evaluations to capture insights and ensure benefits are realized.
• Engage in ongoing process improvement and the enhancement of quality standards.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Project management certification (such as PMP or PRINCE2) is preferred.
• Previous experience within the financial services sector, particularly in investment banking, is highly sought after.
• Considerable experience in project/change management, ideally in the financial services or investment banking domain.
• Background in global markets and/or regulatory initiatives is a significant advantage.
• Strong business partnership capabilities, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.
• Demonstrated experience in leading small to mid-sized teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work autonomously.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and other structured project management approaches (such as PRINCE2 or Microsoft Solutions Framework).
• Understanding of global market products, particularly OTC derivatives, along with familiarity in sales, trading, and post-trade processing.
