Regional e-Commerce Data Manager

The Regional D2C Data Automation Developer/Manager will oversee the development of reports, data processing, and data cleansing activities. The selected candidate will be tasked with designing effective systems and writing code (in Python and SQL) to automate procedures within the Microsoft environment, while avoiding the use of cloud services. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a keen attention to detail and possess experience in creating and managing data systems.

Role and Responsibilities

Data Operations:

• Build data systems that enable data analysts to generate recurring daily reports.
• Develop systems compatible with existing company platforms (e.g., MS Office) that comply with organizational data policies.
• Guarantee the integrity and accuracy of data across sources and reports.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and convert them into actionable insights.
• Document system requirements, and create data dictionaries and user guides.
• Detect inefficiencies in analysis and data extraction workflows, proposing solutions to enhance operations and cut costs.
• Initiate and execute process improvement strategies, focusing on workflow optimization, automation, and standardization.

Data Quality:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Develop systems that can automatically identify data errors and anomalies.
• Create protocols for rectifying data inaccuracies and managing anomalies.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in data operations and automation, ideally within an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Proficient in Python, VBA, and SQL (with expertise in at least two of these programming languages); knowledge of additional languages (such as R) is advantageous.
• Experience utilizing GitHub and MS Visual Studio.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with quick turnaround times and constantly evolving data sources.
• Familiarity with large datasets.
• Comfortable receiving data in various languages and capable of utilizing translation applications as needed.
