Analyst, Controlling

Financial Reporting and Closing Responsibilities:

• Oversee the general ledger, which includes posting journal entries, maintaining the chart of accounts, and ensuring accurate transaction coding.
• Perform regular reconciliations of GL accounts to confirm balances and swiftly address any discrepancies.
• Assist in the closing process of accounts as required, which includes the preparation of monthly financial statements and accompanying schedules.
• Generate precise and timely financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the collection of financial data requested by internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effects of financial trends on the organization's economic stability.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to collect financial information and guarantee completeness and accuracy in reporting.

Control and Compliance Duties:

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance with both local and international accounting standards.
• Develop and uphold strong financial controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Tax Planning and Compliance Responsibilities:

• Guarantee the precise and timely preparation of tax returns.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to enhance the organization’s tax position.

Ad Hoc Project Involvement:

• Engage in special projects and initiatives as directed, including system implementations or process enhancements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of an efficient financial system.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum diploma in accounting, with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the education and charity sectors preferred.
• A solid understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analytical skills.
• A team-oriented individual who is resourceful and possesses strong communication abilities.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently.
• Proficient in financial software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
