UC Operations Engineer

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a UC Operations Engineer to oversee and enhance Unified Communications (UC) and Audio Visual (AV) operations within enterprise meeting environments. The successful candidate will possess practical experience with AV systems, UC platforms, meeting room technologies, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate construction plans for new meeting spaces to ensure they meet global AV standards.
• Collect telecom and AV specifications from project stakeholders and draft programming documentation.
• Assist in the procurement process for telecom and audiovisual equipment.
• Collaborate with AV vendors throughout project execution, commissioning, and system verification.
• Organize and facilitate meetings, webinars, and virtual events involving internal stakeholders and executive teams.
• Deliver live meeting assistance, which includes managing presentations, recording sessions, moderating Q&A, controlling participant access, and troubleshooting issues.
• Coordinate the distribution of post-meeting resources, including recordings and chat transcripts.
• Monitor AV and UC systems, respond to alerts, and manage issue resolution with internal teams and vendors.
• Keep precise records of project updates and incident tickets in service management tools.
• Ensure the dependable operation of AV and UC systems while providing outstanding user support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Unified Communications (UC) Operations and Audio Visual (AV) support.
• Familiarity with enterprise meeting room technologies, conferencing systems, and webinar solutions.
• Solid understanding of AV operations, telecom infrastructures, and meeting room setups.
• Proven experience in collaborating with vendors, project teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities, effective communication skills, and adept problem-solving capabilities.
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification is a plus.
