Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Application Engineer to provide support to clients within the fast-paced domains of AI infrastructure, high-speed digital, optical communications, and advanced memory systems.

This technical role is customer-facing and requires a blend of engineering know-how, solution development, and consultative interaction. You will collaborate with technology firms and engineering teams to create measurement, validation, and characterization solutions for cutting-edge digital and optical technologies.

Primary Duties

. Serve as a technical authority in high-speed digital, optical communications, photonics, and AI infrastructure technologies.

. Collaborate with customers throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from technical assessment and planning to deployment and production.

. Analyze customer engineering challenges and suggest suitable testing and measurement strategies.

. Create and implement validation and characterization solutions that encompass:

o High-speed SerDes and interconnects

o Optical transceivers and optical networking

o Silicon photonics

o PCIe, Ethernet, and InfiniBand

o DDR, HBM, and CXL memory technologies

. Formulate measurement techniques for signal integrity, power integrity, jitter, eye diagrams, BER, and compliance testing.

. Incorporate instrumentation, automation, and data analysis into effective engineering workflows.

. Assist in technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept initiatives, competitive assessments, and customer interactions.

. Collaborate closely with commercial teams to pinpoint opportunities and aid in technical sales and design victories.

. Collect customer feedback and industry knowledge to shape future solutions and product advancements.

. Represent the organization at customer events, technical forums, and industry gatherings.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

. Over 10 years of experience in applications engineering, design validation, product engineering, manufacturing testing, or technical solution development.

. Comprehensive knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, channel characterization, and compliance testing.

. Strong grasp of PAM4, NRZ, equalization, jitter, BER, and channel modeling.

. Practical experience with high-speed digital and/or optical communication technologies.

. Familiarity with optical transceivers, silicon photonics, or high-speed interconnect technologies.

. Hands-on experience with test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, optical analyzers, protocol analyzers, or similar instruments.

. Excellent customer-facing skills, along with strong communication and technical consulting abilities.

. Knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, OIF, PCI-SIG, JEDEC, Ethernet, or CXL is a plus.
