IT Product Manager - Freight Technology/Transportation domain

Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiasticIT Product Manager (Freight Technology)to lead the strategy, development, and ongoing improvement of essential freight technology solutions. This position is suited for a technically adept Product Manager who can effectively unite business needs with technological solutions, delivering scalable digital products that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.

The selected candidate will be responsible for theend-to-end product lifecycleof freight-related platforms, which includeFreight Forwarding Systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Track & Trace Solutions, Customer Portals, Customs Integration, Freight Billing, API Ecosystems, Analytics Platforms, and AI-driven Automation Capabilities. This role demands the ability to translate business goals into scalable product roadmaps while ensuring system reliability, cybersecurity compliance, operational excellence, and tangible business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and oversee the product roadmap for freight technology solutions, ensuring alignment between platform capabilities and business objectives as well as customer needs.
• Lead the full product lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to implementation, user adoption, and ongoing improvements.
• Design and sustain solution architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, and system landscapes that support freight operations.
• Convert intricate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, technical documentation, and product features.
• Drive improvements across Freight Forwarding Systems, TMS platforms, Track & Trace solutions, Customs Integration, Freight Billing, and Customer Portals.
• Create and manage Power BI dashboards, analytics, and reporting frameworks to deliver real-time operational insights and visibility of KPIs.
• Lead AI and automation projects aimed at optimizing manual freight processes through intelligent workflows and digital agents.
• Oversee API ecosystems and integrations with customers, carriers, customs authorities, and third-party logistics providers using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and EDI standards.
• Define, monitor, and enhance product KPIs, service levels, system performance, and user adoption statistics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and external vendors to provide scalable and value-oriented solutions.
• Ensure the scalability of platforms, compliance with cybersecurity standards, adherence to data privacy regulations, and operational resilience.
• Prioritize product backlogs and development efforts through data-driven methodologies while balancing innovation with enhancement requests and operational support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise applications such as Freight Forwarding Systems, TMS platforms, logistics portals, or supply chain solutions.
• Strong capability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, data models, and technical designs.
• Hands-on experience in managing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, EDI transactions, and middleware platforms.
• Proficient in SQL with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive business insights.
• Experience in creating dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI or similar analytics tools.
• Experience in overseeing API lifecycle management, integration governance, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with customs processes, freight operations, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, vendor management, and change management.
