L1 Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled L1 Network Engineer to deliver first-tier network support, monitoring, and troubleshooting for a banking client's IT framework. This position entails overseeing network systems, addressing fundamental connectivity problems, managing incidents, and escalating more intricate issues to L2/L3 teams and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee network infrastructure and respond promptly to alerts and incidents.
• Conduct initial troubleshooting for network connectivity and performance challenges.
• Assist with Cisco switching and routing infrastructure.
• Execute network assessments, configuration tasks, installations, and repairs.
• Support daily operations and network infrastructure initiatives.
• Monitor network performance and bandwidth, identifying any anomalies.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 engineers for advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
• Engage with vendors for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical assistance.
• Work directly with end users to diagnose and rectify connectivity issues.
• Assist with internal change requests, including reviews, downtime planning, and configuration tasks.
• Facilitate vendor access to network devices as necessary.
• Coordinate with implementation engineers and project managers for network rollouts.
• Provide onsite technical and field engineering support when required.
• Gradually assume responsibility for assigned network installations, incidents, and problem management activities.
• Adhere to established network processes.
