Project Manager, Assembly Automation

Work collaboratively on a global scale to design and deploy innovative automation solutions in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive project initiatives by partnering with teams from diverse regions to establish industry best practices and global standards. Develop technical documentation, presentations, and reports in coordination with various corporate departments. Lead discussions focused on innovating the automation roadmap while assessing new operational technology (OT) automation advancements. Oversee activities related to OT and automation, ensuring seamless execution in association with operational units. Build and maintain relationships with local and regional vendors to streamline implementation efforts. Outline necessary infrastructure and network architecture while ensuring a clear distinction between IT and OT networks. Facilitate integration and data communication across network layers, strictly adhering to cybersecurity guidelines. Investigate and adopt creative approaches for system automation. Design and evaluate automation systems and processes. Specify requirements for wireless OT networks and relevant communication protocols. Collaborate with process historians for effective communication and data collection, enabling comprehensive analysis. Address projects pertaining to industrial control systems (ICS) and advancements in Industry 4.0. Work closely with industrial and IT teams to create scalable and secure solutions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or Computer Science, or over 10 years of pertinent experience in Automation Controls. At least 8 years of engineering experience within an industrial setting. A minimum of 5 years of project management experience. At least 5 years of expertise in automation. Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated experience in managing projects within fast-paced environments while collaborating effectively with teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
