Business Analyst – Operations & Applications

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business users and stakeholders to collect, analyze, and clarify operational requirements and user needs
• Convert user requirements into well-defined business and functional specifications for technical and delivery teams
• Provide support for critical in-house applications, emphasizing stability, availability, and operational impact
• Execute basic SQL queries to verify data, troubleshoot issues, and assist in functional analysis
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, defect analysis, and validation of solutions
• Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and support teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle
• Participate in production support activities, including issue analysis and root cause investigations
• Provide after-hours or standby support for essential systems as necessary
• Ensure accurate documentation of business requirements, process flows, and operational procedures
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives related to business processes and system utilization

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting in-house or enterprise-level applications
• Demonstrated ability to translate user needs into business and functional specifications
• Experience with business-critical systems, ideally in regulated or high-availability settings

Technical and Functional Skills

• Capability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation and analysis
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of application delivery and support lifecycles
