IT Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily IT assistance for desktop and laptop hardware, encompassing setup, troubleshooting, repair, and routine maintenance
• Provide support for commonly used workstation applications such as Microsoft Office, antivirus programs, Adobe Acrobat, and compression tools
• Conduct first-level network troubleshooting, addressing issues related to wireless connectivity and VoIP phone systems
• Configure and prepare new workstations for end-users, including the installation of operating systems and necessary software
• Handle user administration tasks like creating user IDs, setting up email accounts, and resetting passwords
• Assist with the staging, configuration, and testing of POS software
• Facilitate the deployment, rollout, upgrades, and replacements of POS systems across various retail locations
• Execute basic hardware installation, setup, and troubleshooting for POS devices
• Provide both on-site and remote support during deployment processes and IT project initiatives
• Engage in IT support and infrastructure enhancement projects as designated
• Complete additional IT-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Diploma, certification, or relevant education in IT, Computer Studies, or a similar field
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and IT troubleshooting methodologies
• Capable of diagnosing and resolving issues with laptops and basic hardware
• Experience with hardware or POS systems is advantageous
• Ability to collaborate with users of diverse backgrounds and levels
• Proficient in English with strong communication abilities
• Effective in both independent and team-oriented work environments
• Eager to learn, proactive, and capable of performing under pressure
• Possesses a positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Open to traveling islandwide for deployment and support tasks as necessary
