Head of Cyber Security Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the organization's cyber security operations, establishing strategic direction for daily functions, team performance, and the evolution of security capabilities.
• Enhance detection, monitoring, and incident response functionalities, ensuring that security incidents are thoroughly investigated and resolved promptly.
• Take ownership of the organization's security exposure and vulnerability management initiatives, driving enhancements to minimize technology and cyber risks.
• Manage security controls across both infrastructure and cloud environments, pinpointing vulnerabilities and spearheading necessary remediation and fortification efforts.
• Collaborate with technology and business units on security evaluations, technological modifications, and risk-related decisions, offering pragmatic and commercially viable security recommendations.
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance security tools, processes, and operational efficiency, while enhancing the technical proficiency of the broader team.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in Cyber Security / Information Security, with extensive expertise in security operations, cyber defense, or security engineering.
• Robust technical knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, as well as infrastructure and cloud security.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and cultivate security professionals, effectively balancing leadership responsibilities with technical oversight.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the assurance to engage with senior technology and business leaders.
• Experience within banking, insurance, or other highly regulated sectors is preferred. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or CCSP are considered advantageous.
