SAP FICO Functional Consultant

Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned SAP FICO Functional Consultant who possesses a robust background in Finance, particularly in SAP Controlling processes. This role entails the implementation, support, and enhancement of SAP CO solutions, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The consultant will also assist team members with specific Finance sub-modules, including General Ledger (GL) and Fixed Assets (FA).

Primary Duties

• Evaluate business requirements and deliver SAP CO functional solutions.
• Configure, test, and provide support for SAP CO processes and enhancements.
• Engage in SAP implementation, rollout, and support projects.
• Work alongside Finance and business teams to refine controlling and profitability reporting processes.
• Create functional specifications, testing documentation, and end-user training resources.
• Guarantee smooth integration between SAP CO and other SAP modules.
• Assist team members with Financial Accounting topics, such as GL and FA.

Essential Skills & Experience

Cost Centre Accounting (CCA)

• Extensive knowledge of Cost Centre Accounting.
• Proficient in:
• Cost Allocations
• Assessments
• Distributions
• Cost Planning and Reporting

Profit Centre Accounting (PCA)

• Solid understanding of Profit Centre Accounting.
• Familiarity with profit centre structures, allocations, and profitability reporting.

Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) or Margin Analysis

• Comprehensive knowledge of CO-PA.
• Experience in profitability reporting, derivation logic, allocations, and Margin Analysis.

Internal Orders

• Significant experience with Internal Orders, encompassing:
• Planning and Budgeting
• Settlement Processes
• Reporting and Monitoring
• Experience with integrating Internal Orders with:
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Grant Management (GM)
• Financial Accounting (FI)

Project Systems (PS)

• Good familiarity with SAP Project Systems.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, cost tracking, and settlement processes.
• Understanding of integration between PS and:
• CO
• FI
• MM
• SD
• Asset Accounting
• Grant Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of consulting experience in SAP FICO.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP Finance consulting.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate will have practical experience in Cost Centre Accounting, CO-PA, Internal Orders, and Project Systems, along with a solid understanding of Profit Centre Accounting, Asset Accounting Integration, and Grant Management Integration. The candidate should be adept at working independently and supporting comprehensive SAP CO business processes. Additionally, having experience in Financial Accounting, particularly in sub-modules such as GL and FA, is considered an advantage.
