Technology Risk Manager

About the Position

Major Global Bank is in search of a Technology Risk Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role involves supporting the multi-year core banking transformation initiative and the Global Transaction project portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional with strong communication abilities and a background in IT Risk within the banking sector.

Primary Responsibilities

• Offer governance and oversight for technology risk across significant transformation and technology projects
• Perform risk assessments and control evaluations throughout the lifecycle of projects
• Analyze and challenge risk exceptions, control deficiencies, and remediation strategies
• Collaborate with technology, project, security, and business teams to identify and mitigate technology risks
• Ensure that critical risk issues are properly monitored, escalated, and addressed
• Assist in governance forums, risk committees, and stakeholder communications
• Encourage effective risk management practices among project and technology teams
• Facilitate ongoing enhancements of technology risk and governance procedures

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Technology Controls, Risk Assurance, Information Security, or Technology Governance
• Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated sectors
• Solid understanding of technology risk management and control frameworks
• Experience in supporting technology transformation, application development, or SDLC-related projects
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and assess control effectiveness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, Audit, or a relevant field
• Preferred: Risk/Security Certification (CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP)
