Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in application infrastructure, DevOps, and deployment methodologies. The ideal candidate will manage Java application development, establish CI/CD pipelines, and oversee deployments in both UAT and production settings. Familiarity with UOB-specific tools and processes is highly advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Develop and support microservices utilizing established enterprise frameworks, including UFW.
• Establish, maintain, and troubleshoot DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Plan and execute application deployments across UAT and production environments.
• Coordinate release activities, deployment validation, rollback strategies, and post-deployment assessments.
• Assist with application infrastructure setup and troubleshoot environment-related issues.
• Oversee application certificates, including issuance, renewal, installation, and validation.
• Address findings from Veracode and SonarQube security and code-quality scans.
• Preferably work with UOB-standard tools and processes, including WCM, Aldon, Control-M, and other deployment and release management tools.
• Facilitate application integration and file transfer processes using tools such as Connect.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and production support teams.
• Prepare and maintain deployment procedures, release documentation, operational runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot deployment and application issues across Windows, Linux, and AS400 environments.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in application development and support.
• Hands-on experience with project deployment and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and the ability to manage Jenkins pipelines/agents effectively.
• Proficient in the Linux platform and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with software products like Control M, Aldon RDO, and Connect Direct.
• Solid Java development skills, particularly with Spring Boot.
• Extensive knowledge of Java/J2EE and microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in executing UAT and production deployments.
• Good understanding of application infrastructure and environment configuration.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in the UOB technology environment.
• Familiar with UOB tools and processes, specifically WCM, Aldon, and UFW.
• Exposure to AS400 platforms.
• Experience with Control-M and Connect.
• Experience in banking or financial services applications.
• Understanding of security, audit, change management, and production release controls.
