Assistant Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the comprehensive operations of the Finance and Accounting department.
• Ensure prompt preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly management financial statements.
• Supervise treasury activities, including cash flow management and banking operations.
• Administer inventory oversight and costing processes, focusing on stock management and valuation.
• Manage accounts receivable along with credit control systems.
• Establish and execute effective cost management strategies to reduce waste.
• Develop and track annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Guarantee adherence to all statutory regulations, including tax compliance.
• Establish and oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Communicate with government entities such as Customs, MIDA, and the Statistics Department.
• Collaborate with external auditors for year-end audit processes and financial reporting.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with group reporting and other related tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent; ACCA certification is highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
• Thorough understanding of taxation, costing, and full account handling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software applications.
• Experience with auditing is a beneficial asset.
