Senior Software Developer

Overview

A prominent global financial services organization is seeking a senior software developer to spearhead the development of a critical market infrastructure service as part of an innovative project. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Architect and develop intelligent and scalable backend solutions that meet business requirements, in accordance with the organization’s coding standards.
• Enhance application code for improved system responsiveness, facilitating the efficient execution of essential market infrastructure services.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to best-practice software design principles by producing clean, efficient, and robust code that includes comprehensive test coverage.
• Promote effective teamwork with cross-functional teams within the Technology sector, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with overarching organizational objectives.

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical backend development experience, with significant proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in frontend development using React is advantageous, or a strong willingness to acquire this skill.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and principles of performance and resilience in design.
• Strong grasp of multi-threading, low-latency, and concurrency concepts.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, alongside familiarity with Azure cloud.
• Proficiency with Kafka and Redis is a plus.
• Experience with financial products and familiarity with the trade life cycle is preferred.
