Cloud Platform Engineer

TEKsystems stands at the forefront of technology consulting, dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions and outstanding service to our clientele. We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to become a valuable member of a dynamic tech team within a prestigious institutional investment firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and sustain the internal cloud development platform.
• Design, deploy, and oversee CI/CD and automation pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
• Manage and maintain artifact repositories.
• Partner with backend developers to troubleshoot and resolve intricate system challenges across various technology layers.
• Create and uphold infrastructure as code through tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Facilitate containerization and orchestration processes using Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm.
• Promote and enforce industry best practices in DevOps and software engineering.
• Guarantee platform reliability, scalability, and security within cloud environments.
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of practical experience in Software Engineering as well as CI/CD pipeline and Artifact Management.
• Background in Software Engineering (Python or Golang).
• Proficient understanding of AWS and familiarity with Cloud Services and Infrastructure.
• Expertise in CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experienced with artifact management tools (JFrog preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes preferred).
