Senior Social Media Associate

About the Position: Our client is looking for a Senior Social Media Associate to become a part of their team for a 6-month contract. This position is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the client's brand through vigilant social media monitoring, responsive interaction, and effective issue management.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying potential reputational threats, managing crises, assisting with campaigns, and developing impactful response strategies across various social media platforms.

Key Duties:

• Track emerging issues and public sentiment across a range of social media platforms
• Swiftly address high-risk or sensitive situations while upholding brand tone and integrity
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams, including Policy, Trust & Safety, Community Support, and Corporate Communications
• Create and publish both reactive and proactive content on official social channels
• Contribute to the formulation of response strategies, playbooks, and best practices
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of social campaigns and issue response processes
• Provide local support for APAC regions concerning reputational matters and brand safeguarding
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and escalate concerns regarding queue volumes or workflow challenges
• Support with the onboarding and knowledge transfer for new team members
• Offer backup assistance to team leads as required

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in social media management, crisis/issues response, or digital communications
• Demonstrated experience in dynamic, cross-functional settings
• Familiarity with social media monitoring and content publishing tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Experience in managing sensitive or high-stakes social conversations is advantageous
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Availability to work Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with flexibility in shifts
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
