Product Engineer (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and validate new or alternative mechanical components to improve cost efficiency and ensure a stable supply chain.
• Plan and execute component validation activities, evaluate test outcomes, and resolve technical issues to uphold product reliability and quality.
• Examine and confirm component specifications, drawings, and technical requirements for compliance and appropriateness.
• Facilitate technical discussions with suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment on product and manufacturing specifications.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and evaluation records.
• Assist in initiatives for component localization, engineering modifications, and continuous enhancement.
• Track project timelines to ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks.
• Guarantee compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Capability to interpret and generate engineering drawings, including both isometric and orthographic representations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting tasks.
• Familiar with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experienced in utilizing measuring instruments, including vernier calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding and machining.
• Familiarity with material selection, component validation, and product development processes is a plus.
