The Finance Senior Associate will report on and analyze monthly revenue performance for multiple teams within Sapient. This role includes managing monthly revenue calculations and reconciling related accounts as part of the monthly financial close cycle, using Oracle Financials. The Finance Senior Associate will also evaluate and analyze client contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment. Along with the revenue calculation responsibilities, the role will support forecast variance analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand revenue accounting topics as well as a range of financial analysis needs.

The Finance Senior Associate will report on and analyze monthly revenue performance for multiple teams within Sapient. This role includes managing monthly revenue calculations and reconciling related accounts as part of the monthly financial close cycle, using Oracle Financials. The Finance Senior Associate will also evaluate and analyze client contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment. Along with the revenue calculation responsibilities, the role will support forecast variance analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand revenue accounting topics as well as a range of financial analysis needs.
Your Impact:
- Perform month-end/quarter-end close activities, including revenue calculations, journal entries, account reconciliations, and review and adjustment of revenue-related accounts
- Deliver revenue oversight, guidance, issue resolution, and training to multiple teams across the company, including project teams, finance personnel, and the corporate legal team
- Review and interpret Sapient client contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatment in line with relevant IFRS guidance
- Support financial operations management and financial planning and analysis for selected teams
- Create and analyze revenue forecast/actual variances
- Provide finance leadership with various ad-hoc analyses of revenue and related balance sheet impacts.
Your Skills & Experience:
Experience Guidelines:
- 5-8 years of related work experience in either a revenue accounting or general accounting role
- Experience creating and interpreting ad hoc financial analysis
- Ability to research and resolve basic to complex revenue related accounting issues, including application of IFRS accounting standards, among others
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to understand and infer relationships between metrics and operational and financial processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA in Finance or M.com Required
- Chartered Accountancy Intermediate level pass out preferred
- Work well under pressure and deadlines
- Strong Excel experience required, including work with pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Oracle Project Accounting a plus
- Effective communication skills to various levels of management.
- Shift timings 2pm – 11pm
