Project Management Officer

Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous PMO Specialist to oversee daily project operations, manage financial tracking, and uphold governance frameworks. This position will serve as the operational foundation for extensive initiatives—ensuring that projects adhere to timelines, stay within budget, and are prepared for audits.

Primary Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight & Analysis: Supervise project budgets, monitor burn rates, and assess spending discrepancies. Assist with monthly financial closures, accruals, invoice management, and forecasting.
• Governance & Compliance: Organize steering committee evaluations, maintain decision logs, track project risks and issues, and guarantee compliance with governance standards to ensure audit readiness.
• Reporting & Analytics: Aggregate performance data into concise weekly, monthly, and executive-level reports utilizing Excel and dashboard applications.
• Project Coordination & Resource Management: Manage resource onboarding/offboarding processes, approve timesheets, facilitate meeting logistics, and control documents within shared storage solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years in PMO, project coordination, or project finance. Experience with large-scale technology or public sector initiatives is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data modeling). Familiarity with Power BI or Project Portfolio Management tools is desirable.
• Essential Skills: Strong financial insight, keen attention to detail, and exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities.
