Test Engineer

Position Overview:

Qualifications Required: -A degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Role Responsibilities / Talent Alignment:-

• Serve as the testing lead and produce essential documentation including test strategies, reports, and planning. Collaborate with team members as needed.
• Interpret and convert requirements, as well as design and functional specifications, to establish testing requirements and create test cases.
• Engage in reviews of feature requirements and conduct analysis to enhance existing test cases.
• Analyze and refine current test cases for improvement.
• Diagnose failures, document and monitor anomalies, develop testware, create test scripts, and execute functional tests on firmware in accordance with established protocols. Address failures, and report and track anomalies.
• Update progress to the team lead and manager, and escalate issues promptly when necessary.
• Conduct regression testing as required.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives contributing to test KPI activities.

Job Requirements:

• Practical experience in manual testing, encompassing various testing types (Hardware, Firmware, Software).
• In-depth knowledge of Test Engineering processes (Agile, continuous integration, waterfall) and methodologies for designing test cases and optimizing test coverage.
• Proficient understanding of test automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
• Required programming skills in scripting languages, preferably Python.
• Experience in Ladder Programming is essential.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and PLC applications.
• Strong electrical and test bed design skills/experience is a plus.
• Experience in developing and supporting test labs.
• Familiarity with bug/anomaly tracking and triage systems.
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting capabilities are essential.
