**Work Mode:** On-site at our Singapore office (Work From Office)
**About the Position:**
We are looking for a highly skilled **Senior Playwright QA / Automation Test Engineer** to spearhead the creation and upkeep of automated testing frameworks for a prominent enterprise client. In this position, you will design, develop, and expand comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) and API testing infrastructures utilizing **Playwright** in conjunction with advanced AI-powered development tools. Your efforts will be instrumental in speeding up release cycles while maintaining high standards of reliability, performance, and cross-browser compatibility across critical enterprise platforms.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
- Framework Architecture & Expansion: Design, develop, and enhance scalable, resilient automated testing frameworks from scratch using Playwright with TypeScript or Python.
- AI-Driven Test Automation: Utilize modern AI development tools to swiftly generate test scripts, refactor existing test suites, and produce realistic test data dynamically.
- Comprehensive Automated Testing: Develop, oversee, and execute automated smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites covering both Web UI and REST APIs.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites seamlessly into continuous integration and deployment pipelines (such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) to enable rapid, automated feedback cycles.
- Test Monitoring & Debugging: Track test execution, identify root causes of failures, resolve flaky tests, and implement clear reporting using tools like Allure, JUnit, or JSON reports.
- Agile & DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including developers and DevOps professionals to define acceptance criteria, refine testing strategies, and incorporate 'Shift-Left' quality practices early in the SDLC.
- Experience: Over 5 years of comprehensive software quality engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on expertise specifically with Playwright.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript / Python.
- API & Database Validation: Demonstrated experience in automated testing of RESTful APIs and basic database validation using SQL.
- DevOps & Version Control: Strong familiarity with Git, containerization concepts, and orchestration of CI/CD pipelines via platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of SDLC/STLC principles, cross-browser compatibility testing across Chromium, WebKit, Firefox, and modern QA best practices including Page Object Model and parallel test execution.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical industry experience.
