Job Description
We are excited to announce two openings within our Intellectual Property (IP) team. These positions will involve close collaboration with Research, Design, and Development (RDD), focusing on the management of IP risks and opportunities while providing strategic value and legal counsel. The roles will play a crucial part in supporting innovative technologies and products throughout their lifecycle—from ideation to production—spanning diverse categories including Audio, Floorcare, Haircare, Robotics, and Digital Motors. As an advisor to the business on various IP matters, your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Identifying and managing IP risks and opportunities linked to new products and technologies.
- Providing guidance on potential IP risks through freedom-to-operate analyses and scrutinizing the validity of third-party rights.
- Collaborating with external counsel to facilitate patent drafting initiatives.
- Managing the prosecution of patent applications on a global scale to secure strategically significant patents in a cost-efficient manner.
- Analyzing competitor products and assisting the Litigation team with IP disputes and litigation issues.
About You
You will hold a qualification as an attorney (in Singapore, the UK, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand). Experience with mechanical and/or electrical inventions is preferred, but we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. You will possess strong collaborative skills and have the ability to communicate complex IP issues to non-IP professionals in a straightforward and effective manner. A proactive mindset is essential, as is a readiness to take ownership of responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
