Observability Engineer - Implementation

Hello, Position Title: Observability Implementation Engineer Experience Level: 4-5+ years Location: Singapore (Candidates must reside in Singapore) Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential extension based on project needs Work Mode: On-site (Work From Office) --- About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Observability Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing, deploying, and managing systems that monitor software health and performance. The ideal candidate will leverage metrics, logs, and traces (telemetry) to assist engineering teams in diagnosing and resolving complex issues within cloud-native and microservices architectures. --- Primary Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Deployment: Develop and configure observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or the ELK stack to support monitoring needs.
• Telemetry Strategy: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), structured logging, and distributed tracing protocols across applications.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis efforts during major outages or latency issues to minimize downtime.
• System Reliability Improvement: Collaborate with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to enhance system uptime and resilience.

• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native technologies (such as Kubernetes, microservices architecture), and API integrations.
• Experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.
• Strong background in software engineering, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ability to interpret raw telemetry data into actionable operational insights for technical teams.
