Physiotherapist

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and implement physiotherapy rehabilitation services at the Senior Care Centre, collaborating closely with the Centre Manager and Occupational Therapist.
• Perform comprehensive assessments for clients upon admission and during regular reviews.
• Develop and administer tailored therapy treatment plans that meet client needs effectively.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions with the care team at SCC.
• Assist in the creation and ongoing evaluation of clients' Individual Care Plans (ICP) to ensure comprehensive health and care support.
• Design and facilitate group therapy programs and activities for clients participating in day care.
• Adapt and update the program schedule as needed to enhance the quality of therapy services.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of therapy records is maintained.
• Possess knowledge of dementia-related challenges and demonstrate the ability to manage clients exhibiting behavioral issues associated with dementia.
• Build and maintain warm, trusting relationships with clients' families and caregivers, demonstrating genuine care and respect for clients.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Centre Manager on occasion.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy, with necessary qualifications and registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in a hospital or eldercare facility; candidates with community-based experience are preferred.
