QA Engineer - TEKsystems

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer to become a part of a prominent global organization within the financial technology sector. This role is dedicated to guaranteeing the stability and quality of intricate trading and data platforms. You'll engage with high-performance systems in an agile setting, playing a vital role in the design and development of automation frameworks while advocating for best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and implement test plans for both backend and UI applications.
• Build and sustain automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality solutions.
• Guide junior team members and cultivate a culture of excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience

• SDLC & Testing: 5-8 years of experience in software testing, specifically in backend REST APIs and Linux/UNIX environments with a strong emphasis on Java.
• Automation Tools: Experience with Playwright & Cucumber (preferred) or, alternatively, Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Maven.
• Cloud & Agile: Proficiency with AWS or comparable cloud platforms; knowledgeable in Agile methodologies.
• Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in Capital Markets and with the FIX protocol.
• Solid understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and mentoring abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with integration testing for upstream/downstream systems.
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts.
