Associate Systems Engineer

About the Position

As an Associate Systems Engineer (Service Management), you will be responsible for overseeing production change control, evaluating deployment risks, and facilitating smooth system updates for essential infrastructure.

This role is a 12-month renewable contract that provides immediate opportunities to engage in large-scale enterprise operations, with the potential for extension or long-term advancement based on performance and project requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Change Governance Leadership: Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, assess change requests, and oversee final approvals for production changes.
• Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with internal teams (Project Managers, Security, Production Support) to avert negative impacts and service interruptions.
• Process Optimization: Establish and enhance ITIL-compliant change management processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and portal management.
• Stakeholder Communication: Distribute downtime/completion notifications and monitor key ITSM performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs).

Desired Qualifications

• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 8–10 years in the IT sector, with 3–5 years concentrated on IT Operations and IT Service Management (Change, Incident, or Problem Management).
• Framework Knowledge: Extensive practical experience with ITIL standards and managing CAB processes.
• Essential Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement, risk assessment skills, and professional written communication abilities.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare IT systems or significant public sector technology is advantageous.
