PRIMARY DUTIES

Academic Support

• Facilitate and/or deliver modules that correspond to your area of expertise, adhering to established lesson plans and desired learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with Programme Heads, Module Leaders, and associates regarding assessments, moderation, and examinations.
• Track student performance and offer academic guidance along with progression counselling.

Academic Quality Assurance

• Enforce and maintain SIM GE academic policies, ensuring that assessment standards and workflows are rigorous, equitable, and consistent.

Administrative Collaboration

• Engage with internal departments to assist in matters related to teaching, learning, and assessment within your area of specialization.

Course Design and Development

• Participate in the creation and development of effective learning materials for face-to-face, blended, and online formats in partnership with academic leaders.

Faculty Learning and Development

• Enhance faculty development by generating teaching resources, sharing effective practices, and contributing to research in pedagogy.
• Foster communities of practice and offer peer support to enhance instructional quality.
• Help organize faculty onboarding sessions, training initiatives, and academic events to encourage engagement and lifelong learning.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic Credentials

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline within the department is mandatory.
• A Master's degree is considered an additional asset.

Professional Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant teaching and work experience in a higher education setting within a pertinent field or discipline is preferred.
• Proficiency in pedagogy and people management.
• Proven understanding of best practices in curriculum development, adult education principles, and effective assessment methodologies.
• Experience in collaborating with subject matter experts to create accurate and relevant content, with demonstrated facilitation expertise.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and the capability to choose teaching methods that suit the industry and audience.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships across teams.
