Network Engineer

A prominent global investment firm is in search of a Network Engineer to become a part of its global production engineering team located in Singapore. This position is well-suited for individuals with a minimum of 7 years of expertise in network infrastructure design, planning, and technical execution, who are eager to make contributions in a dynamic and innovative setting.

Your duties will include crafting detailed technical specifications, executing projects, ensuring adherence to standardized technical implementations, validating and testing solutions, conducting quality assurance, and producing documentation to facilitate a seamless operational transition. The role necessitates cross-departmental collaboration to ensure timely project completions that align with both technical and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive technical specifications, network topology diagrams, and implementation strategies for standardized DMZ, Colo, and DC deployments.
• Oversee hands-on installation efforts in collaboration with our global data center team.
• Administer the configuration and rollout of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Engage with vendors, manage equipment installation via our global data center team, supervise cabling infrastructure, and guarantee that all implementations comply with established change management protocols to minimize operational disruptions.
• Collaborate closely with senior network leads, project managers, and team members to ensure that project outcomes align with both technical and business objectives.
• Lead technical discussions, provide ongoing project updates, manage stakeholder expectations, and act as the primary technical contact for your designated environment build throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement thorough test plans, conduct post-implementation validations, and execute rollback procedures when needed, such as network performance testing and site resilience testing, ensuring compliance with SLA standards prior to production handover.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration templates, and operational procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from project execution to ongoing network operations and maintenance.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing a global network infrastructure, particularly with Internet / B2B DMZ's

• Experience in testing and planning the deployment of router and switch platforms
• Comprehensive understanding of data center design principles, products, and protocols

• Strong grasp of Network Security architectures, models, and methodologies

• Extensive technical experience (Project Deployment) utilizing a variety of the following: Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus, Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, IDS/IPS
• Experience in support, design, and product management with firewalls - Juniper JunOS and Palo Alto
• Proficient in security hardening across multiple platforms, familiar with industry best practices in network security
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Significant experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure and OCI)
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Effective project management capabilities
• Extensive technical experience in engineering and implementing networking technologies within a large enterprise environment
