Microbiologist

Overview

We are looking for a proficient Microbiologist dedicated to upholding the microbiological integrity and safety of our products through comprehensive analysis and compliance oversight. This position plays a vital role in advancing quality enhancement efforts and ensuring conformity with established standards.

Key Duties

• Conduct routine and specialized microbial assessments on raw materials, in-process substances, and final products. Release microbial test findings and perform risk assessments to guarantee accuracy and dependability. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to address non-conformance issues and support investigations related to food safety complaints. Ensure adherence to ISO 17025 standards, emphasizing precise documentation and record management. Execute statistical trend evaluations and promote continuous improvement initiatives tied to food safety. Assist in the development, optimization, and validation of methodologies. Participate in internal audits, external evaluations, and accreditation procedures. Compile Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports and ensure follow-up on required actions. Provide support for other assigned responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or a relevant discipline, with at least 3 to 5 years of applicable experience. Strong knowledge of microbiological concepts, including method development and validation. Practical experience in microbiological testing and the use of laboratory equipment. A foundational understanding of chemistry and chemical properties is a plus. Awareness of regulatory standards concerning quality and food safety is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP. Excellent communication abilities, with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience in drafting technical reports and quality-related documentation.
