Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Software Test Engineer to enhance our software quality assurance efforts throughout application development and improvement initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing test scenarios, verifying system functionality, detecting defects, and collaborating closely with both business and technical teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and document test cases, test scenarios, and other testing artifacts based on business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Create and uphold the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Prepare and manage test data utilizing SQL queries and additional support tools.
• Conduct manual testing across various phases including functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Implement automation test execution using relevant testing tools as applicable.
• Analyze test results, pinpoint defects, evaluate business implications, and propose suitable solutions.
• Log, monitor, and track defects using test management and issue tracking systems.
• Prepare daily testing status reports that highlight progress, challenges, risks, and test outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and project teams to clarify requirements and address testing-related issues.
• Assist business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test coordination, issue tracking, and validation efforts.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing standards, methodologies, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Practical experience in manual testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking software like JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Tosca, or equivalent will be beneficial.
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and test data preparation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an excellent eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies is a plus.
