Managing Director

Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic, execution-focused management professional to become part of the founding team in Singapore. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the overall office operations and significantly contribute to the execution of financial services activities, including fund management, foreign exchange, and asset management operations. Acting as a vital link between front-end business development, back-end operations, compliance, and strategic clients, this position is essential in driving the firm's growth and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Office & Operational Management
• Supervise the daily operations of the Singapore office and implement effective internal processes and governance frameworks.
• Facilitate seamless collaboration across business, operations, compliance, and support functions.
• Pursue operational excellence and continuous enhancement of processes.

Team & Project Leadership

• Lead and oversee cross-functional teams with defined accountability, KPIs, and delivery benchmarks.
• Strategically allocate resources and manage the execution of key projects to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
• Cultivate a performance-oriented and collaborative work culture.

Back Office & Channel Coordination

• Engage with internal and external back-office teams, custodians, service providers, and distribution channels.
• Ensure stability, compliance, and professionalism in service delivery.
• Enhance workflow efficiency and improve the overall client experience.

Client Relationship Management

• Assist in managing and nurturing key institutional and high-value client relationships.
• Act as a strategic communication link between clients and internal teams.
• Support the Founder in establishing long-term partnerships and trust with essential stakeholders.

Strategic Collaboration with Founder

• Maintain frequent and high-quality communication with the Founder to convert strategy into actionable execution plans.
• Function effectively within a fast-paced environment and aid in achieving key milestones.
• Serve as a reliable execution partner in scaling the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; a background in Finance, Business, Management, or related fields is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; prior exposure to fund management, asset management, foreign exchange, or financial services is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and project management, with the capability to manage multi-tasking and complex cross-functional coordination.
• Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Energetic, mature, pragmatic, and results-driven.
• Direct and efficient communication style, coupled with strong ownership and execution skills.
