Equity Project Manager

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee technology projects that enhance equity trading platforms and associated systems. This position serves as a link between domain knowledge and technology execution, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within defined parameters, and in compliance with both regulatory and business goals.

Position Overview:

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of equity technology projects, including initiation, execution, and post-implementation follow-up.
• Work closely with stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and vendors to facilitate smooth integration of trading systems.
• Create project plans, manage financial resources, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain documentation practices.
• Identify potential risks, manage change requests, and address issues in a timely manner.
• Report project status and implications to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 7 years of practical experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst in the Global Markets Equities/Fixed Income Trading technology sector.
• Robust analytical abilities to formulate solutions for intricate business requirements (capable of drafting solutions and compiling Business Requirement Documents).
• Solid understanding of trading operations and product knowledge (e.g., Delta One/Swap, Stock Lending, Cash Trading), encompassing position checks and risk assessments.
• Proficient in leading meetings, formulating delivery plans, tracking implementation progress, managing risks, and engaging stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with developers and technical leaders at various levels, with the ability to tailor communication based on the audience.
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and follows up diligently on assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Demonstrates proficiency with essential project management tools as a Tech BA/PM (Agile, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, and other office software).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the HK SFC Data Standards for Order Lifecycle (DS-OL) and experience with other regulatory and exchange implementations would be advantageous.
