Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

In the role of Lead/Senior Software Engineer, your primary duties will include:

• Developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies encompassing functional, performance, and security testing to guarantee the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions.
• Architecting and creating backend systems, cloud applications, and data structures that facilitate scalable and efficient software products.
• Establishing and implementing infrastructure as code methodologies, ensuring seamless integration of multiple components and systems across the organization.
• Leading the development of frontend and cloud applications, evaluating trade-offs, and making informed technical decisions.
• Designing and supervising the execution of software architecture, taking into account both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conducting thorough manual reviews of the source code provided by the vendor and validating the implementation against the approved design.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading software engineering teams and managing projects.
• Extensive knowledge of agile methodologies, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices, and version control systems.
• Proven capability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Expertise in designing and implementing J2EE applications, alongside SQL proficiency and shell scripting experience.
• Deep understanding of server-side technologies, including microservices, web services, RESTful APIs, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RHEL, JBOSS EAP, OpenShift, OpenStack, Maven, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining front-end interfaces (using React, Angular) as well as back-end services (using Python, Java).
• Strong knowledge of database design and optimization for effective data storage and retrieval.
• Proven experience in applying secure coding practices and conducting application security testing.
• Expertise in automated testing, including the integration of Selenium/Watermelon test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to manage and optimize technical operations, prioritize the operations backlog, and automate processes to improve efficiency and decrease release times.
