Lead Engineer (Backend)

About the Position
We are seeking a skilled lead engineer who has a strong enthusiasm for software development. Join our innovative engineering team as we aim to transform the Fintech landscape. Your responsibilities will include the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of Microservices and RESTful APIs that enhance consumer financial products for both desktop and mobile platforms.
Primary Duties
- Creating groundbreaking features within the Fintech sector.
- Designing and implementing state-of-the-art technology solutions.
- Adhering to industry-standard CICD best practices at an enterprise scale.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team to deliver impactful results.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-level solutions across one or more of the following areas: backend development, mobile development, quality assurance, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices, capable of driving architectural discussions (RFC) and mentoring mid to senior-level engineers.
- A commitment to learning from others, sharing knowledge, and uplifting those around you.
- Ability to grasp complex business domains and devise solutions to fill existing gaps.
- Experience in leading Agile teams to deliver intricate solutions using the Scrum framework.
- Capacity to balance technical outputs with necessary stakeholder interactions.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting software in a high-concurrency production environment.
Technology Stack:
Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React Native, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS. (Don't worry if you are not familiar with all of them yet—you are not required to know them all.)
