Job Overview

We are seeking a Factory Automation System Engineer to provide support and maintenance for factory automation applications in a cutting-edge manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring the efficient operation of production systems, diagnosing technical challenges, and assisting manufacturing personnel to reduce downtime.

This position is well-suited for individuals with a background in the semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing sectors who have a strong commitment to supporting essential production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer technical assistance for factory automation systems to maintain stable manufacturing processes.
• Oversee, diagnose, and rectify system problems that impact production.
• Conduct root cause analysis and enact corrective measures for system-related incidents.
• Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployment efforts.
• Collaborate closely with production users, engineers, and interdisciplinary teams to address operational challenges.
• Create and execute SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
• Keep system documentation and operational procedures up to date.
• Engage in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts to optimize system performance.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in supporting factory automation systems in a semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech production setting.
• Experience in supporting mission-critical production applications and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in SQL, with a preference for experience with Oracle Database.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Factory Automation (FA) systems.
• Understanding of production workflows and manufacturing practices.
• Background in incident management and production support.
• Familiarity with Oracle database administration or SQL performance tuning is a plus.
