Job Overview

• We are seeking a skilled Oracle Exadata Infrastructure Engineer who possesses a blend of Oracle DBA administration and PL/SQL programming expertise to support our high-priority banking applications.
• This role includes 24/7 support, including On-Call responsibilities for Exadata servers that host Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, upgrade, patch, tune, monitor, and troubleshoot databases on Exadata appliances.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Oracle databases from version 12c to 19c, including installation and administration.
• Exhibit practical experience with Oracle database configuration on Exadata, manage Oracle Support requests, and assist application teams with issue resolution.
• Handle Exadata patching, upgrade, and release management for databases, storage nodes, servers, networks, and ROCi.
• Create and maintain documentation related to Oracle Exadata systems and software configurations.
• Possess strong experience in Oracle Database administration and monitoring, with exposure to performance analysis and tuning of Exadata infrastructure.
• Work with standalone, Oracle RAC, and RAC one node architectures.
• Troubleshoot performance issues within databases hosted on Exadata, particularly for applications with demanding performance requirements.
• Address storage cell issues, coordinating fixes with Oracle support in case of disk failures; familiarity with storage cell architecture is essential.
• Have a solid understanding of Oracle Linux, including troubleshooting skills related to network connectivity, IP address configuration, and OS issues.
• Demonstrate competence in RMAN for cloning and restoring databases across different environments with large datasets.
• Develop custom scripts utilizing Oracle PL/SQL and Shell scripting.
• Collaborate with teams across various regions to ensure cohesive work efforts.

Specialized Knowledge

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Exadata infrastructure engineering with a focus on Oracle DBA administration.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in Oracle RAC/one node and standalone databases.
• Strong knowledge of Shell scripting and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience in Exadata environments and troubleshooting abilities in Oracle Linux.
• Professional certification in Exadata infrastructure is a plus.
• Certification in Oracle 12c or 19c database administration would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with X8/X9 Exadata machines is a plus.
