Datadog Engineer

Position Overview

 We are in search of a skilled Datadog Engineer to create, execute, and enhance comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions spanning applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and networks. This position emphasizes the utilization of Datadog APM, Logs, RUM, Metrics, and Synthetics to bolster system reliability, performance, and operational insight.

Key Responsibilities

·      Oversee and refine the Datadog observability platform along with its monitoring settings.

·      Create dashboards, alerts, service maps, and tailored monitoring solutions.

·      Execute APM, distributed tracing, RUM, log analytics, and synthetic monitoring.

·      Establish and monitor KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs to enhance service reliability.

·      Integrate Datadog with incident management systems such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and OpsGenie.

·      Work closely with development, infrastructure, and SRE teams to diagnose and resolve performance challenges.

·      Automate monitoring and reporting tasks utilizing Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

·      Document best practices and offer technical support to team members.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

·      5-8 years of experience in monitoring, infrastructure, or application support.

·      3+ years of practical experience with Datadog across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, and Synthetics.

·      Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

·      Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.

·      Strong grasp of observability concepts including metrics, logs, and traces.

·      Experience with Terraform and ITIL processes is a plus.
