Data Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate should possess substantial expertise in developing and overseeing data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and working collaboratively with diverse teams to facilitate data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and structure large datasets, encompassing data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and storage processes.
• Formulate and enforce data governance policies and procedures to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and security of our data assets.
• Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to create and implement data solutions that align with business needs.
• Create and uphold data dictionaries, metadata, and other essential documentation to aid in data management and analysis.
• Establish and maintain data quality metrics and processes aimed at monitoring and enhancing data quality.
• Offer technical leadership and support to the team, including mentoring junior data analysts.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data management and analysis.
• Possess a solid understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or qualifications in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with data management tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Professional certifications in data management, including Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Management Association Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA-CDMP).
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data management platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience in machine learning and predictive analytics.
