Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Architect to become a part of our streamlined and highly technical cybersecurity team. This position will involve defining and steering the security architecture strategy for both cloud and on-premises environments while being actively engaged in the implementation and operational processes.

The successful candidate will be a proactive security expert capable of converting business, regulatory, and risk requirements into effective security solutions. This person will collaborate closely with teams in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and application development to ensure that security is integrated throughout the technology ecosystem while striking a practical balance between security, usability, and operational effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Strategy

• Develop and sustain enterprise security architecture frameworks and technical standards.
• Design and improve security controls across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring a robust defense-in-depth approach.
• Lead the architecture and enhancement of identity and access management, privileged access controls, secrets management, network security, and cloud security services.
• Create secure cloud landing zones and governance frameworks within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Establish endpoint security baselines and vulnerability management strategies to bolster organizational resilience.
• Collaborate with technology teams to incorporate security-by-design principles into infrastructure and application development projects.

Engineering & Project Delivery

• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and design validation for security transformation initiatives.
• Oversee complex security implementations involving areas such as SIEM/SOC platforms, endpoint detection and response, data protection, and network segmentation.
• Work with project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of security initiatives and their smooth transition into operations.
• Create technical standards, implementation guidelines, and operational documentation.

Security Operations & Risk Management

• Continuously evaluate emerging threats and assess the effectiveness of existing security controls.
• Assist in major incident investigations by providing advanced technical expertise and working with managed security service providers.
• Conduct threat modeling exercises for new systems, applications, and infrastructure modifications.
• Promote continuous enhancement of the organization's security posture through proactive risk assessment and remediation efforts.

Governance, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

• Ensure that security architectures comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Translate audit findings, risk assessments, and security recommendations into actionable engineering solutions.
• Support security assessments, penetration testing activities, and remediation planning.

Qualifications

Experience

• 8-12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security solutions within complex enterprise settings.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, banking, insurance, asset management, or similar fields is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead technical security initiatives from design through to implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Technical Knowledge

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender, Identity Protection, and Microsoft security services.
• Strong expertise in Azure security architecture, cloud security controls, and Zero Trust principles.
• Solid understanding of SIEM/SOC operations, vulnerability management, endpoint security, network security, and infrastructure hardening.
• Experience in designing security architectures across hybrid cloud environments.

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent cybersecurity architecture certifications.
• Microsoft security certifications such as AZ-500 or Microsoft Security Administrator credentials.
