Our client is a reputable A1 Main Contractor with an impressive history in building, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Singapore. Due to ongoing growth in their project portfolio, they are seeking proficient Civil & Structural Design Engineers to become part of their project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Civil & Structural design works for both building and industrial projects.
- Examine structural designs, drawings, calculations, and technical submissions to ensure adherence to project specifications and Singaporean standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, structural consultants, M&E consultants, process engineers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Review and coordinate works related to RC, steel, precast, foundation, piling, substructure, and superstructure.
- Assess shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Identify and address design, coordination, and site-related technical challenges.
- Prepare and manage tender packages and technical documentation.
- Engage with consultants and relevant authorities regarding Civil & Structural submissions and approvals.
- Assist Project Managers in ensuring that projects are completed in line with program, quality, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and offer practical engineering solutions during the construction phase.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural design or engineering.
- Experience in building, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of RC and steel structures, foundations, and structural detailing.
- Familiarity with precast structures, long-span structures, or industrial buildings is a plus.
- Knowledge of Singapore codes, standards, and authority submission procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent technical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Location: East / South
- Working days: 5.5 Days
- Salary: up to S8,500 / Negotiable + Variable Bonus (salary will be commensurate with experience & qualifications).
