Business Strategy Department (BSD) - Associate / Senior Associate

Position Overview

We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Business Strategy Department. This pivotal role is essential for enhancing our commercial operations and fostering collaboration among diverse global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate internal processes to support the Chartering and Commercial teams. Execute customer credit assessments and manage credit-related functions. Oversee KYC (Know Your Customer) and customer due diligence initiatives. Address inquiries from commercial teams and provide guidance to stakeholders on company policies. Route inquiries to the appropriate departments for prompt resolution. Assist commercial teams with requests for customer information. Support coordination efforts and projects related to commercial activities. Collaborate with international offices to improve business processes and information exchange. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a similar discipline is preferred. Approximately 2-3 years of relevant experience in commercial support, operations, coordination, compliance, or related areas. Proven ability to coordinate effectively across various stakeholders and departments. Background in shipping, commercial operations, business planning, or compliance is advantageous. Excellent coordination, organizational, and communication abilities. Capability to handle multiple stakeholders and inquiries concurrently. A proactive problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite. A keen interest in commercial shipping operations.
