Product Design Assistant Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in strategizing and developing action plans.
• Create design drawings and establish technical standards under guidance.
• Perform cell analysis and evaluations.
• Examine outcomes from engineering tests.
• Carry out sample creation, line trials, or test executions.
• Effectively manage the shipping of samples.
• Complete assigned projects or tasks from supervisors, including alternative roles as needed.
• Comply with workplace safety and health policies, adhering to all applicable safety procedures and regulations.
• Recognize and address workplace hazards.
• Familiarize yourself with environmental policies, objectives, and corporate standards.
• Engage in the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for different battery cells.
• Support line expansion projects and material changes aimed at cost efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews and standardization initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with QA and sales teams regarding customer inquiries and assist in quality investigations.

Qualifications

• A diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Material, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain a positive demeanor in challenging situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with familiarity in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, JMP, SPC, DOE, and Statistics being a plus.
• Ability to work in cleanroom and dry room environments (0% humidity).
