Manager, Asset Protection
Job Description
Avanade is experiencing significant growth in Microsoft's Mid-market and Corporate sector, specifically targeting the upper tier of the SME&C segment. We are on a mission to revolutionize the IT Services landscape within this market.
Currently, Avanade supports numerous SME&C clients through various offerings, including AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms, and Security. Our current emphasis is on creating structured and repeatable processes—leveraging 25 years of enterprise expertise to develop scalable and predictable operations tailored for SME&C. To facilitate this, we have established a dedicated SME&C Business Unit, featuring solution-specific 'Catalyst Squads.' These virtual teams are focused on delivering prepackaged and repeatable 'Catalyst Solutions' from the initial qualified lead to the final delivery.
The Risk Analyst is an integral part of the Catalyst Squad and plays a crucial role in ensuring secure, low-friction, and repeatable delivery of Catalyst Solutions from qualification to execution and scaling. This position translates enterprise-level risk, compliance, and security requirements into practical squad-level guidelines that enable swift progress without incurring unnecessary delivery, commercial, or client risks.
This role differs from traditional enterprise risk governance. The Risk Analyst is responsible for establishing and implementing repeatable risk frameworks, pre-approved guidelines, and streamlined assurance processes that align with the rapid pace of SME&C deals and the economics of productized delivery. They assist the squad in making timely and clear decisions regarding actions that can proceed within standard Catalyst Solution parameters, what needs risk mitigation, and what should be escalated.
Collaboration is key for the Risk Analyst, as they work closely with the Solution Specialist & GTM Lead, Solution Architect, Squad Service Delivery Lead, delivery consultants, CSP specialists, relevant Microsoft counterparts, as well as central risk, legal, security, privacy, and compliance teams. This role is instrumental in embedding risk considerations into Catalyst Solutions from the outset, rather than addressing them post-delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversees operational management of standard processes and programs related to:
Developing and managing initiatives to safeguard our people, information, reputation, and assets
Ensuring consistent and compliant application of risk and protection policies, programs, and processes across the organization, including training and information dissemination

Managing risk factors to minimize and address the root causes of risk events
Analyzing and monitoring risk indicators to predict risk trends and inform planning and actions
Mitigating risks by addressing events and aiding in the development of new solutions to lessen their impact on Avanade
Working alongside parent companies to evaluate and manage shared risks
Other Position Details:
- May act as the primary point of contact for incident reporting and escalation within a specific geography or globally
- May necessitate specific expertise in information security, data protection, business continuity management, and/or general risk assessment and mitigation
