BIM Manager

Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for an experienced BIM Manager to supervise the Building Information Modeling process throughout all stages of project development in a fast-paced construction setting. This crucial role is essential for ensuring compliance with established standards, managing relevant software, and fostering effective team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to BIM standards and project requirements.
• Oversee BIM software to improve operational effectiveness.
• Perform quality control assessments to maintain model accuracy.
• Facilitate the review and coordination process for shop drawings and as-built documents across various trades, including Architectural, Structural, MEP, and specialized subcontractors.
• Prepare and track the progress of shop drawing and sample schedules in conjunction with procurement timelines.
• Manage the submission and approval workflow for drawings and samples from consultants.
• Engage with consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to address design-related challenges.
• Assist the project team with technical coordination issues pertaining to subcontractors.
• Lead technical design meetings with consultants and subcontractors.
• Support the contracts department with variation order claims arising from design modifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in drawing coordination and management in the construction sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM software pertinent to Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Experience with BIM projects is a significant advantage.
• Thorough understanding of Singapore construction regulations (e.g., Building Code, BCA, URA, LTA).
• Demonstrated success in leading teams of coordinators and drafters in producing shop drawings and managing documentation.
• Strong initiative, exceptional communication abilities, and capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with specialized trade works, such as curtain walls, stone, and interior design, is beneficial.
