Backend Developer

We are looking for a Data & Backend Engineer to develop and deploy scalable data pipelines and backend services that cater to high-traffic events. This position is centered around constructing robust data platforms, ensuring proper instrumentation, and facilitating large-scale analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and implement data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and aggregation.
• Develop backend services to deliver data efficiently to both internal and external systems.
• Implement systems for observability, logging, and monitoring.
• Work alongside data scientists to ensure that models are adequately supported with the appropriate data.
• Enhance system performance to manage substantial traffic spikes.
• Participate in migration initiatives towards Kubernetes to promote scalability and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java, Scala, or Python development, specifically in backend and data engineering roles.
• Familiarity with distributed data systems (such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, etc.).
• Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under time-sensitive conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
