Temenos T24 Security Consultant

Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a skilled Temenos T24 Security Consultant with 5 to 8 years of pertinent experience to oversee, configure, and maintain security measures within the Temenos T24 (Temenos Transact) core banking solution.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teams focused on core banking, application support, infrastructure, and information security to guarantee secure access, efficient user management, and adherence to banking security regulations.

This position provides a chance to engage with mission-critical core banking systems, enhance application security protocols, and play a vital role in secure banking operations.

Primary Duties

• Set up, manage, and uphold security configurations within the Temenos T24/Transact core banking system.
• Oversee user accounts, roles, access privileges, and security permissions per established access control policies.
• Configure and sustain T24 security components, including USER, USER.SMS.GROUP, and associated security and access control settings.
• Establish and uphold Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and segregation of duties (SoD) protocols.
• Facilitate user provisioning, modifications, deactivations, and regular access audits.
• Set up and resolve issues related to access permissions for T24 applications, functionalities, inquiries, versions, and banking tasks.
• Examine and address T24 security incidents, access complications, and authorization mistakes.
• Evaluate security settings and pinpoint potential access control vulnerabilities or gaps.
• Assist in security evaluations, internal audits, regulatory assessments, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with application development and functional teams to implement suitable security measures for new T24 features and upgrades.
• Support T24 updates, patches, releases, and adjustments to security configurations.
• Conduct security testing, access validation, and post-deployment assessments.
• Keep security configuration documentation, access control matrices, operational procedures, and audit logs up to date.
• Work alongside cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and core banking teams to enhance application security and governance.
• Propose enhancements for T24 security administration, access management, and operational workflows.

Essential Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Temenos T24/Transact, core banking application support, or banking application security.
• In-depth hands-on expertise with the Temenos T24 Security module and its administrative functions.
• Proven experience in configuring and managing T24 users, security groups, roles, and access rights.
• Familiarity with T24 security elements such as USER, USER.SMS.GROUP, and application-level access controls.
• Experience in user access management, authentication, authorization, and security setups.
• Strong grasp of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), segregation of duties, and access governance.
• Experience in troubleshooting T24 access challenges, security incidents, and permission-related issues.
• Knowledge of core banking processes and application security requirements.
• Experience in supporting T24 configuration updates, testing, and production rollouts.
• Understanding of banking security protocols, audit obligations, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively with technical, functional, cybersecurity, and banking operations teams.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Temenos Transact (T24) R18 or later versions.
• Familiarity with T24’s technical architecture, application configuration, and integration components.
• Experience in supporting T24 implementations, upgrades, or migration initiatives.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Knowledge of security monitoring, audit logging, and access certification protocols.
• Experience in banking or regulated financial services sectors.
• Familiarity with T24 development tools, jBASE, or InfoBasic.
• Understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.
