Technology Systems Engineer
Job Description
Position Overview
The Technology Development Department is comprised of three primary teams: Technology Systems, Product Performance & Acoustics, and Simulation. This position is located within the Technology Systems team, focusing primarily on fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and sensing technologies. Our Technology Systems Team is not merely a collection of engineers; we are pioneers in creating advanced technical systems (including fluids, thermal management, and sensing technologies) for Hair care and other innovative product categories. With a base in Singapore and the Philippines, our team leads the charge in innovation, consistently expanding the limits of what is achievable in product development.
Our engineers are responsible for managing projects from initial concept through to production readiness, providing them with exceptional insight into the product life cycle. Equipped with a cutting-edge laboratory, along with simulation and analytical tools, they harness their creativity and technical skills to bring exceptional products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fluid and thermodynamics aspects of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion.
- Take ownership of performance specifications within projects, ensuring that product performance meets established requirements. Deliverables include analytical studies, experimental testing, and simulations (utilizing CFD).
- Proactively manage associated technical risks and implement necessary mitigations. Ensure timely resolution of risk items.
- Address FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System) issues through systematic technical analysis in a timely fashion.
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of the team's testing and simulation capabilities, aligning with broader business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A relevant Master's or PhD degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical product analysis and development, ideally within the consumer electrical appliance sector.
- A proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and collaboration.
- Comprehensive knowledge in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and a demonstrated proficiency in CFD is required for this position.
- Experience with thermal measurement techniques and instruments such as thermal cameras, thermocouples, picologgers, and NI instrumentation is advantageous.
- Extensive understanding and experience in heat transfer principles and the design of heater systems at a system level is a plus.
- Must exhibit the ability to thrive in a fast-moving and ever-changing work environment, where adaptability to new challenges and teamwork with colleagues is vital.
