Senior Counsellor

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide early-stage risk marriage assistance, including support for minor and transnational couples, as well as family and marital counselling.
• Facilitate group sessions and other interventions for families encountering difficulties; collaborate with relevant partners to enhance client welfare.
• Skilled in a variety of counselling methodologies (e.g., systemic approaches) and tools to effectively address clients' issues.
• Demonstrate the capability to handle complex cases, including crisis intervention and referrals to external agencies.
• Offer clinical supervision to foster staff's professional growth.
• Oversee and mentor counselling interns, when required.
• Design, develop, and execute programmes tailored for children, adults, and families.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations for staff, as applicable.
• Identify deficiencies in service delivery and enhance operational processes for the organization.
• Adhere to established workflow processes and refine protocols as needed.
• Manage monthly budget and statistical reporting.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Ideally possess a postgraduate qualification in counselling from accredited institutions recognized by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and/or certification in systemic thinking.
• Completed at least 50 hours of training in Clinical Supervision.
• Preferably a registered counsellor/supervisor with SAC or a registered social worker with SASW.

Other Information

Relevant Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in independently counselling individuals, couples, and families (including court cases), with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
